Calling all imaginative minds!
Unleash your creativity and make a MEASURABLE difference by entering Cadwell’s first-ever Measuring Tape Design Contest.
We’re looking for a captivating design to feature on our iconic measuring tape in recognition of our 45th year anniversary, and we need your help. Are you up for the challenge?
The winning design will debut on the Cadwell measuring tape at the 2024 AANEM Annual Meeting. Additionally, the winner and two runners-up will be recognized with a donation to a nonprofit that supports a cause close to their hearts.

Who can Enter?
This contest welcomes participants worldwide, ages 18 and over. Employees of Cadwell and their family members are not eligible to enter.
Design Criteria
- Canvas Size: Your design will be displayed on the front center insert at the center of the Cadwell measuring tape. Avoid printing your design to the edge of the center circle.
- Colors: Use a maximum of two colors in your design.
- File Format: Submit your design in JPG, PDF, or PNG format. Ensure your design is your own, unpublished work.
- Design Inspiration: When submitting your design, kindly share the inspiration or the story behind your creation. This competition isn’t just about what you created, but the compelling reason behind your design.
By entering the contest, you agree that your submission is your original work, and Cadwell holds exclusive rights to your design for product and promotional use. Before submitting your design, please read the 2024 Cadwell Measuring Tape Design Contest Official Rules.

Download the template and instructions and get started!
Create Your Design
Hand-draw your design on the printed template, or use a design software such as Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), or Canva. Be sure to follow the design requirements and review our judging criteria.
Submit Your Design!
Submit your design by Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (PT). Be sure to share the inspiration behind your design for a chance to win.
Spread the Word
Encourage your colleagues, friends, and family to vote for the winning design.
How will the Winners be Selected?
Round 1: Cadwell Judges Selection
A panel of Cadwell judges will select the top five designs using the following judging criteria:
- Concept/originality of design
- Adherence to design and submission rules and guidelines
- The meaningful reason behind your creation
Round 2: Community Voting
We’re leaving it up to you, the Cadwell community, to choose the contest winner!
- On Monday, June 10, at 8:00 a.m. (PT), we will begin accepting votes from the community on our website. Each person is entitled to one vote, and voting will remain open until 11:59 p.m. (PT) on Friday, June 14. Participants can vote on the top five designs, narrowing down the selection.
- The final rankings will determine first, second, and third place. In the unlikely event of a tie, Cadwell will cast the final vote to declare a winner.
Contest Awards
Prizes will be awarded to the three winners with the highest number of community votes. Winners will be announced to the public on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
- 1st Place: The champion of the contest will secure 20 Cadwell measuring tapes showcasing their design, earn some serious bragging rights, as well as a $1,000 donation in their name to the nonprofit or charity of their preference.
- 2nd Place: The second place winner will be recognized with a $500 donation made in their name to a non-profit or charity of their choosing.
- 3rd Place: The third place winner will be recognized with a $250 donation made in their name to a non-profit or charity of their choosing.
